Half Hourly Data Collection

We pioneered the accelerated delivery of data to UK energy suppliers with Multi Day Reporting. Aware that timescales for billing clients were not being fulfilled by the industry approach, we developed a faster system to send data.

The report reviews all data collected 365 days’ a year for the previous 14 months. Data is then loaded into reports run at six intervals through the day - 3am, 6am, 9am, 12pm, 2pm and 9pm. This approach ensures the most recent, most accurate view of energy data - and suppliers can bill faster and more accurately.

We also provide Multi Day Data Provision: a near real-time view of data as it’s collected and validated. Reports can run at various times of the day to provide a view of any data that’s changed in a 14-month live settlement window.

Half Hourly Data Aggregation

Performance is everything. IMServ complies with all BSC Procedures, in fact, we consistently meet and exceed strict performance standards. This table is a snapshot of our performance on 25 Nov 07, for a large UK supplier.

EDQ - Half Hourly Service

All metering enquiries are followed through our EDQ system. This drives the remote logging and monitoring of enquiries from initiation to resolution. EDQ is easily accessible via the web to raise enquiries and track progress, to obtain real-time visibility of a portfolio and of all jobs raised against any site in that portfolio. We also provide a monthly maintenance report from EDQ that summarises:

  • Meter failures - by site/type/date
  • Repair timescales
  • Communications/data capture failure
  • Any data loss and % of data estimation

Non Half Hourly DP/DA (NHH DP/DA)

We perform settlement services for approximately 500,000 sites interfacing with multiple DR (Data Retrieval) agents and AMR service providers, supplying high performance NHH Data Processing (NNH DP) and Data Aggregation (NHH DA) services.

An accredited agent in the NHH sector for over eight years, we work closely with supply business customers, ensuring that each supplier’s data is managed in a secure, efficient and successful way. 

Data Processing Services

We process and manage metering data for all appointed customers within our portfolio. Being a specialist in data processing means we can:

  • Support energy suppliers' customer billing processes to ensure a consistent supply of meter readings
  • Support energy suppliers' settlement obligations by ensuring all data collected is processed into consumption data and sent to NHHDA agents in an appropriate timescale - to ensure all settlement runs are as accurate as possible


We achieve this by working closely with multiple DR agents for site visits to obtain meter readings from each customer’s premises or meters. We then process and validate the readings to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
For all validated readings, consumption data is then calculated to show each customer’s usage. This data is then sent to NHHDA agents for settlement processing.

Data Aggregation Services

Our job as a professional data aggregator (NHHDA) is to receive and process appointment and consumption data from NHHDC agents and MPAS (Meter Point Administration Service) agents.

Each day, and in line with the industry’s settlement timetable, we summarise all consumption data provided by NHHDC agents for all appointed customers to create master consumption data files - at an aggregated level, in line with predetermined settlement profiles.

We ensure all settlement aggregation runs are set-up and run in line with the calendar, and that outputs are sent out in appropriate timescales so energy suppliers are billed accurately for their usage.

All applications we use are fully accredited and subject to annual external audits, making sure we maintain compliance and high standards of operations and service delivery.
